Omar Alderete is delighted with his first days at Valencia.
The defender has arrived on-loan from Hertha Berlin.
Alderete told the club's website: “I really like LaLiga; whenever I spoke with my agent I always said that one day I would like to play in Spain, and we all know that Valencia CF are a big club.
"When I was told that the opportunity was there, I didn't really have any doubts. I'm very happy and I know the history of the club; I have a friend who was here, Nélson Haedo Valdez, and he also told me a lot about the club. I'm very happy."
On meeting coach Jose Bordalas, he added: “I'm very happy with him. I know about the coach, as I played against one of his teams. His sides are always very difficult to play against, and I hope Valencia CF are like that too for the opposition.
“The time I played against his Getafe team, I think that the kicks that day were a little over the top, but I also think he likes that! (laughs). I'm going to work to meet the demands required, be physically fit, train at the same level as my teammates and fight for my place. The first thing I have to do is integrate and adapt to the group, which is also important."
