Oman have scored a crucial win in Kuwait in Group B qualifying of the Asian Cup.

Hassan Rabea scored the game's only goal at the Friendship and Peace Stadium that ended in dramatic circumstances when Kuwait coach Mohammed Ibrahim resigned.

"I announced my resignation from my post after this disappointing defeat," he said.

"I hope that the Kuwait FA transition committee can find a suitable replacement to lead the team."

In the other Group B match, Indonesia and Australia drew 0-0 in Jakarta.
