Olympiakos boss Zico was delighted with how his team performed in their 1-0 win against Arsenal to secure the spot in the round of 16 in the Champions League.

Despite the fact their opponents were far less experienced, Zico was over the moon with the way his charges went about their task at hand and hoped the Olympiakos fans would revel in such a momentous occasion.

"We are pleased for our fans that the team made it," the Brazilian said.

"It was a good performance. We tried to win the game from the beginning and we played well.

"Our fans should enjoy this victory and that we qualified, because they deserve it from the strength they gave us during the game."

Zico added: "We really believe that next year will be a better one and our fans will be able to enjoy much better performances."
