Olivier Giroud says he's happy with the progress of new contract talks with Arsenal.

The striker is confident of soon reaching an agreement.

"We are about to reach an agreement for an extension. It is a gesture of confidence," Giroud told Telefoot.

"I want to continue the adventure in this family of Arsenal. I feel very good."

Giroud hit the winner on Saturday at FA Cup opponents Preston North End.
