Jores Okore is the latest addition to Aston Villa's injury list ahead of Saturday's crunch trip to Manchester United.
Okore is the seventh Villa defender to join the treatment table at Villa Park in recent times.
The centre-back sat out Denmark's defeat to France on Sunday after a scan revealed increased swelling on a knee.
Okore will now be assessed by Villa's medical staff and faces a race against time to be fit for the Old Trafford trip.
Ron Vlaar (calf), Philippe Senderos (calf) and Nathan Baker (knee) were already doubtful for the clash, potentially leaving Ciaran Clark as Villa's only fit centre-back.
