O'Hara wants long-term Spurs stay

Jamie O'Hara loves Tottenham so much that he wants to sign a deal keeping him at the club until the summer of 2012.

The 21-year-old midfielder is already on a lengthy contract at White Hart Lane, but now wants to commit his long-term future to the North London outfit.

The former Chesterfield loanee is looking to be a regular for many years to come after stating he would not be considering an extension if he was not featuring regularly.

"I'm a Tottenham fan and I love playing for Tottenham, so I would like to commit myself to another three years," he told the Daily Star Sunday.

"Fans love to see a young English player coming through. Top clubs have got the money to go out and buy a player when they need one, so you have to look at yourself and think: I want to be that player.

"Others will always come in so you have to keep proving to the manager that you can be part of his plans.

"I see myself as becoming a first team player week in, week out. I wouldn't be looking to sign a long-term deal if I didn't think I would be playing."
