Martin Odegaard has told Real Madrid he wants to stay with Real Sociedad next season.
The Norway international midfielder is in the first of a two season loan at La Real, though such has been his form there has been talk of Madrid recalling him for next term.
However, Mundo Deportivo says Odegaard has 'formally' informed Real Madrid he wishes to stay in San Sebastian next season.
The midfielder has also informed La Real president Jokin Aperribay of his decision.
The two clubs are expected to meet at the end of the season to decide Odegaard's fate, though for the player, his priority is to remain with La Real.
