Gabriel Obertan has returned to training at Newcastle United.

The Frenchman has started running again just two months after the serious thigh injury he picked up against Liverpool.

The winger hopes to be ready to play again by March.

Rolando Aarons, whose season has been blighted by hamstring problems, still has a bit to go, but Mehdi Abeid should be ready to play when he returns from the African Cup of Nations.
