O'Hara brands Davies Tottenham performance as 'shambolic, criminal'

Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O'Hara has slammed Ben Davies for defeat at home to Wolves.

O'Hara branded Davies' performance as "shambolic".

"Ben Davies has been good since he has come in, I think he's done okay with Conte," O'Hara told talkSPORT.

"He's not a left-sided centre-half, we should have bought one [in January] but we didn't.

"He had a really bad game, he was shambolic yesterday, he gave the ball away, he was trying to turn it inside to find a Tottenham player.

"Sometimes you've just got to clear your lines! Get rid of it, get up the pitch, squeeze and no nonsense.

"The one thing that annoys me, and it annoys me with every footballer that does it, and Davies did it four or five times yesterday which was criminal - he turned his back when going out to press the ball.

"Spurs don't press the ball anywhere near enough anyway, they give up too many crosses and too many shots on target.

"If you're going to go and press and you turn your back on the ball, that's unacceptable, and I can't believe he wasn't getting pulled up on it."
