NYRB hoping to find out Rodgers' fate ASAP

New York Red Bull head coach Hans Backe says he expects to find out soon the fate of striker Luke Rodgers.

The Englishman has been sent on loan to Norwegian club Lillestrom after he was unable to obtain a US working visa due to legal problems from his homeland.

The club tried to finalise a visa for Rodgers prior to the 2012 MLS season but were unable to do so, however, it appears that they are looking in to ways to get the former Notts County man back at Red Bull Arena.

"I have some news, but I don't know how much I can say," said Backe.

"I think we probably will have a new decision - I shouldn't say too much. They always say the more I talk about this the more mess it will be. I don't know why, really - I think definitely we will have some kind of new answer in a couple of weeks.

"You never know. You can't be negative or positive. It's still probably a 50-50, I'm just guessing."
