North Queensland Fury say they are determined to stay off the bottom of the A-League table in their debut season.
The Townsville-based club currently sit in ninth position in the ten-team competition but are three points clear of Adelaide United with a game in hand.
That game is the clash with Newcastle Jets which was postponed from Saturday night because of weather conditions and will now be played on Tuesday evening and although the Fury have conceded any chance of making the finals, they are looking to finish off the season in style.
''We've probably not got a chance of making it ... (but) the motivation, I think for everybody at the club, is not to finish last,'' coach Ian Ferguson said.
''We've got an opportunity now (in tomorrow's rescheduled game against Newcastle) to put daylight between ourselves and Adelaide ... there's lots of motivation there.
''I believe that the next four spots that are possible (to finish in), that's what we've got to go for, so if seventh place is available then we have to go for seventh place.''
