North Queensland Fury chairman Don Matheson insists that marquee player Robbie Fowler will see out his contract with the club.
Reports have suggested that the Englishman was set to leave the club after a falling out with coach Ian Ferguson but Matheson says that the ex-Liverpool star will honour his commitments to the club.
''I spoke to Robbie three or four times during the day, and he's an honourable bloke,'' he said.
''Him leaving the club was never part of those discussions. Robbie has a huge affection for the club, a huge commitment to the club.
''In fact he's getting sick and tired of all the speculation that he's not happy here, that his wife is not happy here. He will be seeing out his contract, no question.''
There has also been speculation that coach Ferguson's future at the club was in doubt with the Sydney Morning Herald reporting that Matheson had called on leading player agent Lou Sticca to search for a new coach but both Matheson and Sticca have denied those claims.
