Nottingham Forest have expressed interest in Burnley defender Kevin Long.
The 28-year-old Republic of Ireland international wants to play more first-team games and is understood to be ready to leave the club to do so, says Sky Sports.
The Clarets could see a number of changes at centre-back before next week's transfer deadline with Leicester interested in James Tarkowski to potentially replace Manchester United-bound Harry Maguire.
Burnley are lining up free agent Gary Cahill if Leicester do decide to move for Tarkowski, as Maguire moves closer to completing his record £80m switch for a defender.
Burnley are also looking at several other targets with Long's future in doubt.
