Forest aim to sign Henderson on-loan with the view to a permanent deal next summer.

Forest moved for Henderson amid doubts over the future of promotion-winning goalkeeper Brice Samba.

Samba, who is keen to return to France, is wanted by Lens and Nantes after rejecting a new contract offer from Forest.

Henderson would arrive at Forest as their new No1.
