Nottingham Forest still trying to snap up Man City keeper Arijanet Muric

Nottingham Forest are still trying to snap up Manchester City back-up goalkeeper Arijanet Muric on loan.

Forest sacked manager Martin O'Neill on Friday.

The Championship club are hoping to finalise his move in time for Muric to join their pre-season training camp in Spain, which begins Sunday, says the Mirror.

O'Neill and goalkeeping coach Seamus McDonagh recently watched Muric, 20, on international duty with Kosovo in Bulgaria.

He is now likely to become Forest's second summer signing, following the arrival of winger Sammy Ameobi, who signed a one-year deal after cancelling his contract at crisis-club Bolton.
