Nottingham Forest are still to officially confirm a move for Marcus McGuane from Barcelona B.

The midfielder has a history within the Arsenal academy, and was on loan at SC Telstar earlier this season.

Forest had hoped to sign him in January, and some signs point to a deal being done.

But no confirmation has come, even though the transfer window has shut.

Nottinghamshire Live suggests the move is complicated, given the player had to be recalled from Telstar by Barca B before they could sell him to Forest.

He has definitively returned to the Catalan club, but there is no confirmation of his departure to Forest.

One journalist from ESPN who covers Barcelona, Samuel Marsden, believes the move will be announced in the next day or two.
