Nottingham Forest new boy Bendtner eyeing ‘beautiful’ Arsenal reunion

Nicklas Bendtner could take on former club Arsenal in one of his first few matches for Nottingham Forest.

The Denmark international joined Forest on a two-year deal on Wednesday and could feature for the Championship club in the EFL Cup against the Gunners on September 20.

Describing the prospect of taking on Arsenal at the City Ground as 'beautiful', Bendtner has also in advance expressed his gratitude to a pair of fellow former Gunners who are likely to help him settle on Trentside.

"Henri (Lansbury) and Armand (Traore) I've known since I was 16, they told me many great things about this club and they will probably show me the ropes," he said.

"I find myself home here, I love England. I love the way it is, the feeling around football. I have family here and it has been difficult for me not seeing them when I was playing in Germany.

"I need some time to get settled and to adjust, but it won't be a long time I can promise you that."
