Nottingham Forest are in talks with Roy Keane to bring him back to the City Ground.
The Daily Mail says Martin O'Neill was confirmed as Nottingham Forest manager on Tuesday as talks to make Keane his assistant continued.
Forest are hopeful of convincing Manchester United legend Keane to reunite with O'Neill, who took training at the Nigel Doughty Academy, but a financial package is yet to be agreed.
The pair worked together for five years at Republic of Ireland.
A club statement announced O'Neill's arrival, saying he was 'finally realising a life-long dream in managing Forest'.
