Nottingham Forest appoint O'Neill; Keane could join as no.2

Nottingham Forest have turned to an old boy in the hopes of rediscovering past glories.

Martin O'Neill, who played for them for ten years under Brian Clough, is their new manager.

The former Celtic and Republic of Ireland boss will take over immediately after Aitor Karanka departed.

Forest are 9th in the Championship table as it stands.

They are four points off the last playoff spot, which is currently held by Derby County.

It is possible that Roy Keane will join O'Neill at Forest as assistant manager once again, according to the Mirror.
