Newly promoted Premier League club Nottingham Forest are to hold talks with Atalanta this week.

Forest are very keen to secure a deal for midfielder Remo Freuler in the coming days.

The 30-year-old has played over 200 times for Atalanta since signing from Luzern in 2016.

Freuler is happy in Italy, but also wants a new challenge in his career, according to the Daily Mail.

He may want to show his qualities in the Premier League this season and beyond.

The two clubs are holding talks, with a deal likely to occur for around £9 million.
