Sheffield United are playing down talk of a move for former Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic.
The Serbian is being linked with the Blades job. The 52 year-old is currently the manager of Qatari club Al-Gharafa but has two Championship promotions on his CV from his time at Watford and Fulham.
Yorkshire Live reports as it stands, no one from Sheffield United has spoken to him and he hasn't applied for the job.
Those tasked with finding a suitable replacement for Chris Wilder, who departed the club last week after five years in charge, were presented with a list of names on Friday of those who have applied and Jokanovic's name was not on that list.
The club plans to take its time regarding the appointment and do not want to rush a decision, with Paul Heckingbottom in charge until the end of the season.
Of that list of applicants, which was compiled by CEO Stephen Bettis and Carl Shieber, the club's head of football administration, some are of interest to the Blades hierarchy.
United only began the process of sifting through the names in the past couple of days and it is still too early to have spoken with anyone or identify a leading candidate.
