Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has declared Kevin de Bruyne the best midfielder in the world.

The Belgium international was again impressive for victory over champions Liverpool on Thursday.

Guardiola, who worked with Lionel Messi at Barcelona, said, “Kevin is very good.

"He has something unique. He moves around the field very well and sees it well. In addition, Kevin has a character - he scored 4 penalties in a row after we could not score from the spot for a long time.
