NORWICH v LEICESTER RECAP: Vardy stays top as Foxes roll along

Leicester City quickly bounced back to the winners' list with a 2-1 victory over Norwich City at Carrow Road on Saturday.

Claudio Ranieri's Foxes made it four wins and three draws form their opening eight matches of the Premier League season thanks to goals either side of the break from Jamie Vardy and Jeffrey Schlupp.

Vardy retained his spot at the top of the scoring charts when he emphatically fired home form the penalty spot in the 28th minute for his seventh of the season after he was clattered in the area by Sebastien Bassong.

Leicester doubled their advantage early in the second half when Schupp won possession in his side's back half before advancing the length of the pitch, playing a neat one-two with N'Golo Kante, before rifling beyond John Ruddy from an angle.

The Canaries stepped up their game as the second half progressed and managed to pull one back through loan signing Dieumerci Mbokani who produced a glancing touch with the outside of his right boot to send home Jonny Howson's pinpoint delivery.

Alex Neil's side pressed for an equaliser but were unable to again breach Kasper Schmeichel's goal as fifth-placed Leicester held on, sending Norwich down to 13th position.

- Results are not falling the way Norwich would like but Neil has them playing with confidence With some luck, could they edge into the top half?
