Ajax defender Sven Botman is ready to sign a new deal.

The 20 year-old defender is on-loan at Heerenveen and has attracted enquiries this season from Norwich City.

He said, "I will return this summer, after which I will have a fair chance to prove myself in the preseason and during the season as a full member of the A-selection.

“A year ago I played for Jong Ajax and suddenly I was coveted by a club from the Premier League.

"That surprised me, but is once again proof of how fast things can go in football."
