Rennes defender Mehdi Zeffane admits he wants to move abroad.

Zeffane has been linked with Premier League new-boys Norwich City.

The Algeria international told Foot Mercato: "I am a person who is open-minded enough. I do not close any door. There are advanced discussions, very advanced even, with some European clubs and others. I will take the time to ask myself and think carefully to choose the right destination. My priority is to play abroad.

"There are championships that I like very much like Spain, England, Germany and Italy. These are beautiful championships. However, I do not close doors to other championships.

"The CAN approaches, why not have a precise idea before the beginning of the competition. It would be good. I would like to have peace of mind before starting the tournament because it will be 100%. We'll see. We must take the time and not rush."
