Norwich City could turn Newcastle United striker Dwight Gayle if their move for Jordan Rhodes falls through.
The Canaries have balked at the £7m fee for Rhodes quoted by Sheffield Wednesday.
The Daily Mail says City have turned their attention to Gayle.
The 28-year-old excelled on loan at West Bromwich Albion last season.
