Norwich City sporting director Stuart Webber is being linked with Manchester United.
The Sun says Webber has huge admirers at Old Trafford after helping steer Huddersfield and Norwich to Premier League promotion.
At Carrow Road he oversaw a radical change in strategy — from the academy upwards — and Norwich made the top flight two years following his arrival.
Webber was instrumental in the likes of highly-rated keeper Angus Gunn, 23, and attacking midfielder James Maddison, 22, being given their chance.
United need a sporting director to work with boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Woodward in identifying the best players to help the club progress after a disappointing sixth-place finish last season.
