Norwich, Southampton move for Blackburn striker Adam Armstrong

Norwich City and Southampton are moving for Blackburn Rovers striker Adam Armstrong.

The Daily Mail says Blackburn would prefer to keep hold of Armstrong but with just a year left on his contract this summer also represents one of the final chances to secure a fee for the 24-year-old.

Due to his contract status they are willing to cash in on Armstrong, who has also been linked with West Ham, for a fee of around £8m.

Norwich are in the market for reinforcements to bolster their squad ahead of their return to the Premier League next season.

Meanwhile, Armstrong is on Southampton's list should they choose to pursue a striker once they have wrapped up the signing of a full back first.
