Premier League new boys Norwich City and Sheffield United are preparing to battle it out for Britt Assombalonga.
DR Congo international Assombalonga, 26, has scored 31 goals for ChampionshipMiddlesbrough since a club record £15million move from Nottingham Forest in 2017.
But Boro's parachute payments stop this summer following relegation in 2017 and the striker only had two years left on his contract.
The frontman is now likely to be sold to raise funds for Boro's next boss after Tony Pulis left when they missed out on the play-offs.
The Mirror says Norwich and United will have to cough up at least £10million down to tempt Boro in a deal which could rise to £12m-£15m with various add-ons to help the North East club recoup most of their original outlay.
