Norwich City goalkeeper Tim Krul is delighted to have turned down Chelsea last summer.
Krul is celebrating Norwich's Premier League promotion today - having rejected an offer from Chelsea to act as cover for Kepa Arrizabalaga this season.
He told De Telegraaf: "I wanted to prove the opposite to everyone who had already written off me in the Netherlands.
"I haven't missed any training sessions in the last two and a half years, but the inner urge to play matches again, to be important, was so great that my club choice after Brighton, where I was reserve keeper, like Ajax, had to be good.
“Believe me: I can last for years. We did something with Norwich that nobody thought possible."
