Norwich goalscorer Milot Rashica finds positives in Liverpool defeat

Norwich City striker Milot Rashica was upbeat after their 3-1 defeat at Liverpool.

Rashica says there were plenty of positives to take out of Norwich City's game at Anfield despite the team falling to a 3-1 loss.

The Kosovan international scored his first goal for the club to give the Canaries a surprise lead, but then Liverpool hit back with three goals in 15 minutes from Sadio Mané, Mohamed Salah and Luis Díaz to take the points.

“I think we are improving every week and you can see the difference from last week (at home to Manchester City) as we had many more chances today," he said. “We played well with the ball and we defended together as a team. It was only that five or 10 minutes where we, I think, lost concentration but still every game we have some positive things to take."

Norwich went into the half-time break with the scores at 0-0, but arguably had the better chances to take the lead with Milot having a goal ruled out for offside and Teemu Pukki missing another good chance.

“I think we started well as a team," said Milot. “We had a few chances in the first half and I think we should have scored one or two goals. We defended together as a team, and we gave everything. We kept a clean sheet in the first half, and we started very well in the second half. but it has happened quite a few times this season that we have given the opposition team five or 10 minutes where they only attack us and I think that is what happened in the game today."
