Norwich City goalkeeper Tim Krul admitted mixed emotions after their 0-0 draw with Brighton.
Krul was pleased with the defensive resolve the whole team showed but facing a battle to avoid the drop he was well aware that three points was very much needed with just nine games of the season left.
“I have mixed feelings because obviously we wanted those three points, but then in the end we can't be too greedy to get a point away from home, when they are not easy to go by, against Brighton, who are a good team."
Speaking about the clean sheet the team managed, despite being forced into three changes at the back with Brandon Williams, Ozan Kabak and Max Aarons all ruled out through injury, Tim added: “It was a real team effort. Billy (Gilmour) doing 80 to 90 yards recovery runs and putting those blocks on the line.
"That is what we spoke about this week. We said we needed to be harder to beat. I think we showed a bit of grit today. We nearly could have nicked it in the end. That was our gameplan. To just stay in the game as long as possible and then have that bit of quality in the final third.
“I still think we could have been better on the ball today. We showed in certain moments in the game, but I don't want to be too happy with a point because we have to turn things around. However, it something to build on. We have got Burnley on Sunday at home and that is a must win. We can say whatever we want off the pitch, but we need to show it on Sunday."
