Norwich defender Williams expecting Man Utd return

Norwich City defender Brandon Williams says he expects to return to parent club Manchester United next season.

Having left United at an exciting time for the football club, with Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho being added to the squad, plus Cristiano Ronaldo's return, Williams could have been forgiven for feeling a little deflated to be missing out on working with players of such quality.

However, he has admitted that his one and only focus this season is his own career and helping Norwich, although he has admitted that it would be "fantastic" to be a team-mate of Ronaldo's.

"I get asked this question a lot, about missing out on being there this season," Williams told YouTube broadcaster Jamal Niaz. "But this is my career, I know what I have to do and what is the right thing for me.

"I am not looking at what is going on at United this season. I am not interested in being there this season because I have a job to do with Norwich. That is my job.

"I will go back in the summer and of course if I was a team-mate of his it would be fantastic."
