Norwich City boss Paul Lambert says he is working hard to sign Newcastle stopper Fraser Forster on loan again this season, reports BBC Sport. The 22-year-old started 38 of Norwich's League One games last season in their title success and became an important part of their recent success.
"I've spoken to Newcastle's manager Chris Hughton numerous times but we'll have to wait and see," said Lambert.
Forster finished last season just one clean sheet short of equalling Kevin Keelan's 1974/75 club record of 19.
He was also voted players' player of the season by the rest of the Norwich City squad.
"We can't do anything if other teams come in for him - there's millions of things that can go wrong and as it stands he's Newcastle's player," said Lambert.
