Norwich City manager Paul Lambert knows very well that he has plenty to do in terms of his playing personnel ahead of next season.
The Canaries are in the top flight after achieving a double promotion in the past two seasons and although they have already secured the services of James Vaughan and Steve Morison, Lambert knows that he will have to continue strengthening over the course of the season but is not expecting a huge checkbook like some of the bigger clubs.
"We have not got a foothold in this league at all, we are a new team coming up really quickly so I have to box clever," Lambert told BBC Radio Norfolk.
"I also know that, come January time, I will have to maybe strengthen again.
"The club have been great, the board have been great. They know the current group need a hand, but we will never go out and do what Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal or Manchester United can do."
