Norwich City boss Chris Hughton was proud of victory over Sunderland.
Hughton played down Norwich's current run of form, which has seen them remain unbeaten since October 6 and beat the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal.
"It is always nice but the only stats, the really enjoyable ones, are the ones at the end of the season," he said.
"But what it does say is that we are in good form for the moment and we are a confident team and it is wonderful for them (the players) because they deserve it."
Hughton also hailed the first 45 minutes as the best for the Canaries since he took charge at Carrow Road during the summer.
When asked if it was the best display he had witnessed so far he said: "Arguably, yes.
"I thought the ball retention for Pilky's (Pilkington's) goal was excellent, if it was perhaps one of the other sides they would be showing it quite a few times - I thought it was a really good performance."
