Daniel Farke was adamant Norwich City should have scored against Liverpool on Tuesday night.
The Canaries missed a penalty as they went down 3-0 in the Carabao Cup third-round clash.
"It is always difficult to stand here and explain another loss," said Farke. "I am of course disappointed and goals are decisive for winning football games.
"In general today we have created many, many chances against a good Liverpool side.
"We created so many scenes and of course in the first half the best chance of the game was the penalty situation, but in the second half, I think, Pierre Lees-Melou is all alone in front of the goalkeeper, Teemu Pukki had a great chance, Adam Idah had a great chance and we had other good situations.
"It was definitely a game where we should have scored more than just one goal. They (Liverpool) had three shots on target and all three shots were goals."
