Norway captain Martin Odegaard was furious after a heavy challenge from Manchester City midfielder Rodri during defeat to Spain last night.
The Arsenal skipper was in action as his country lost 3-0 inside Malaga's La Rosaleda, with former Newcastle forward Joselu bagging a brace on his international debut.
Odegaard was left writhing in pain following a fearsome tackle from Rodri.
Odegaard believes he should have been awarded a penalty for the incident but stopped short of criticising the referee for fear of being handed further punishment.
“I'm pretty sure I should have had a penalty. He's coming with his studs right on my ankle," he told TV 2 Sport.
“But I'm sure I'll get punished [if I say anymore]. I don't bother saying anything else about the referee. It's better not to say anything."
