Northern Ireland boss Baraclough weighs up 'risk' playing Newcastle fullback Lewis

Northern Ireland could take a 'risk' on Newcastle United fullback Jamal Lewis for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

Lewis is carrying a groin problem which caused him to miss training this week, having not featured for Toon since February 27.

But there is still a chance Lewis could face Italy in Parma on Thursday night.

Manager Ian Baraclough told the Press Association: "We'll decide in Italy whether we take the risk with Jamal.

"He hasn't trained, so it's something he's had back at his club and we knew that coming into this camp."
