West Brom have been beaten by Northampton Town for Northern Irish starlet Tom McBride.
The Baggies were one of several clubs, including Rangers, Ipswich and QPR, tracking the 16-year-old Derry midfielder.
He has opted to join the Cobblers to give himself a greater chance of first-team football.
