Brendon Santalab has been given permission by North Queensland Fury to fly to China for talks with Chengdu Blades. The 26-year old flew out of Perth last night where the Fury had just arrived from Townsville to play English Premier League Club Wolverhampton Wanderers tomorrow night.
Santalab signed a two-year contract with the new A-League club, moving from Sydney FC in the off season.
Chengdu Blades play in the Chinese Super League and are owned by English Championship club Sheffield United who also have a close relationship with Central Coast Mariners.
