North Queensland coach Ferguson happy with jet-lagged Williams

North Queensland Fury yesterday welcomed Brondby striker David Williams who has joined on a one-season loan.

The 21-year old has recently struggled in Denmark and is looking for regular first team football and although he was extremely jet-lagged at his first training session yesterday, Fury coach Ferguson is happy with his attitude.

''After coming in after a long flight, I don't want to put him in there if he's not ready - I'll have a chat with him and see if he feels up for it,'' Ferguson said.

''If he does, he'll play ... (but) the good thing about him is he's just come off a 24-hour flight and he's desperate to play, which shows a great attitude.''
