North Macedonian press enjoy mocking Chelsea striker Timo Werner

Local North Macedonian press enjoyed mocking Chelsea striker Timo Werner this morning.

Werner had a night to forget for Germany as he missed a sitter in their shock 2-1 World Cup qualifying defeat by North Macedonia - but the minnows are doing their best to make sure he remembers it.

The 25-year-old has struggled for form with his last goal for club and country coming for the Blues on February 15.

North Macedonia's Eljif Elmas struck five minutes from time to seal an historic victory in Group J.

And the European minnows' media has not let Werner live his miss down by giving him their country's identity card after he helped them out by not putting the ball into the back of the net.

A newspaper has mocked up a North Macedonian identity card with a headshot of Germany striker Werner and initials 'TW' for his signature.
