Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich did not hold late-night emergency talks with club directors following the home defeat to Liverpool on Friday, according to Sky Sports.
Reports in several national newspapers on Tuesday claimed Abramovich held an impromptu meeting with Chelsea officials until 1am, with head coach Antonio Conte said to be unhappy at the club's failure to sign the players he wanted in the summer.
But Sky sources understand no meeting took place and that there were no late-night discussions concerning the club's summer recruitment drive.
