No 1999 inspiration for Man Utd insists Solskjaer

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he will not mention his 1999 heroics ahead of Tuesday night's crunch meeting with Barcelona.

Solskjaer will head back to the Nou Camp, where he scored an injury time winner for United in the Champions League final against Bayern Munich in 1999.

The Red Devils must overcome a 1-0 deficit from the first leg to advance, but Solskjaer will not use his own exploits to inspire his players.

"No I won't (mention the 1999 win) because it was against Bayern Munich. It was a final, it was different," he said.

"We will use the PSG match, we will use Juventus away, we have beaten some good teams away from home this year and played against some great players.

"We had (Barcelona) flustered at times here as well. Yes, they controlled the game towards the end, they had the possession but they never really bothered us in our own half."
