Nikola Kalinic says he's not joined Roma to sit on the bench.
The striker made the move from Atletico Madrid.
"Roma are a great team, I'm very happy and I hope to do well in this new adventure," said the 30-year-old.
“I hope I don't get injured, I want to play more. As for the team, we'll go game by game.
“I was worried the deal wouldn't go through, but luckily I'm here now. I'm really happy.
“I have Serie A experience, but there are many players here and many forwards like (Edin) Dzeko who always play well. I hope to do well too.
“We'll see how we play, if it's with one or two strikers. I talked to Dzeko and he convinced me.
“I also played as a left winger for Fiorentina. I can play as a lone striker or in a two.
“At Atletico Madrid we played with one striker and it was a good experience to work with Simeone."
