Portsmouth striker Nwankwo Kanu is set to announce his retirement.

The former Arsenal ace's 19-year career saw him recover from a heart problem to win the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup and an Olympic gold medal.

Nigerian Kanu, 34, still has two years left on his Pompey contract.

He said: "I need more time for my heart foundation."
