Nigeria threaten England plans for Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham

Nigeria are making a move for Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham.

Reports in the African country say football chiefs there hope the Chelsea striker will fill the international void left by Odion Ighalo.

SportingLife claim Nigeria representatives were at Stamford Bridge on Saturday to see Abraham equal Frank Lampard's scoring record.

Camberwell-born Abraham, 21, became the first Englishman to score two goals in two consecutive games since current Blues boss Lampard managed the feat in 2010.

Nigeria Football Federation president Amaju Pinnick reckons Abraham should play for the country of his dad's birth.

That is despite the forward playing in England friendlies against Brazil and Germany in November 2017.
