Sone Aluko's international career with Nigeria will not be affected by Hull City's relegation, reveals manager Sunday Oliseh.
It seemed like Aluko's international career would have to be put on halt after Oliseh suggested that he would not take players plying their trade outside any country's top flight into consideration for the national team.
However, Oliseh has moved on to refute such claims and has insisted that players in a lower division will be given a fair opportunity to earn a place for the Super Eagles.
Oliseh said in Nigeria's Daily Independent: "For players who are already in the national team and performing at a high level, they will not be thrown out just like that. But to keep their place in the team, they will have to maintain the same level of performance.
"Also, we will give a reasonable time to find new clubs in a top division, even if it is on loan. After that time, and especially if their performance drops, we will have no choice but to find those who are playing at a higher level."
