Nigeria call up Wolves keeper Ikeme

Wolves goalkeeper Carl Ikeme has been called up by Nigeria for the very first time.

The 29-year-old England-born gloveman has been selected by Super Eagles boss Sunday Oliseh for next month's African Nations Cup qualifier against Tanzania.

Ikeme joins fellow newcomers Izunna Ernest Uzochukwu, Emem Eduok and Sylvester Igboun as Oliseh prepares for his first match in charge of his country.

The West Midlands native, who has been with Wolves since 2003, was clearly delighted to be involved in his very first national squad.

Nigeria defeated Chad 2-0 in Kaduna in June in their first qualifier.
